Biography

Christina Christofi was born in Limassol, Cyprus on December 23rd 1994. She is Finnish –Cypriot. Besides Greek, Christina is fluent in Finnish. Her mother comes from Finland and they speak Finnish in daily basis. Her hobbies are playing piano, singing, dancing, Musical Theatre, song writing and swimming.
She started taking piano lessons from 8-years old ( London College of music ) and private voice lessons at Music school of Kyriakides from 10-years old. At the age of 4, she began ballet. Later on modern jazz ( Dance studio Ilaria Larkou and Valeria Soleas ) and at the age of 11 streetdance lessons. From 2007 she was selected as a dancer for team ‘ Streetbeats ‘( Dance school of Evi HadjiKyriakou ). With these two dance school Christina has performed in many theatrical performances with great success.
Besides singing Christina loves musical theatre and she has been selected in a leading role in the musical “ Barbie “, The Princess and the Pauper ( performed summer 2007 ) and a leading role in the musical theatre ‘Annie’ ( performance March 2008 )
Christina has got a lot of awards in various singing contests in Cyprus and has been in a various radio-, and TV programs.
CYPRUS ENTRY 2006 Junior Eurovision (Agoria – Koritsia) Christina and Louis first met at the CYBC’s studios in 2005, which they were participating in the local contest for Eurovision Junior. Although rivals at the time, a strong friendship began through their shared love for music and the following year they decided to enter the contest as a duet. They put together their thoughts and talent and write the lyrics to the song Agoria Koritsia. Music arranger of the song Christos Kyriakedes and the Choreorapher Antigoni Tassouri. Vocal lessons by Erietta Ioulianou and Michaelis Chrysanthou. The song Agoria –Koritsia was selected presenting Cyprus in Junior Eurovision in Romania. The song got 6773 televotes. Before the trip in Romania Christina and Louis was also invited by ERT in Athens as a guest star during the Junior Eurovision song contest in Greece. Experience in Romania in December 2006 was amazing!! Christina was spending one week in Bucharest. The program included rehearsals of the song, photo shooting, interviews, sightseeing and the Euro disco every night!! Cyprus got 58 points and was 8th. The best thing was the new friendship between the countries and a great atmosphere during the contest. Christina will never forgot this amazing experience. In December 2006 after the Junior Eurovision song contest she also recorded a Christmas CD with other Kyriakides music school’s students. In December 2007 Christina recorded her first Christmas CD Maxi single ‘ It’s Christmas time’ April 2008 Christina will be hosting the First Junior Planet Festival
